What is Your Interior Design Style?

There are many different styles for interior design and I love the process of meeting a client and finding their style together. I often mix the styles, but it is important to have a clear understanding of each one. Here are some of the design styles that are popular right now.
There are so many different home styles and it seems more and more keep popping up. Most of our homes will incorporate a few of these styles over time as our tastes change - or, you may find one that absolutely speaks to you! Here are some styles that are currently popular with our clients and the homeowner community:
The Modern Farmhouse
Some love it and can’t get enough… Others are screaming enough is enough. This design style seems to have taken over Pinterest boards and HGTV alike. The Modern Farmhouse is a fresh spin on rustic. Think of neutral color scheme, shiplap, industrial or modern lighting, barn doors and lots of repurposed materials.

Bohemian
This style is adventurous and leans towards eclectic. Lots of vibrant colors and jeweled tones. It can be tribal inspired with the use of Moroccan or southwestern fabrics and accents.
The Middle Century Modern
With this look, use minimalist silhouettes, clean lines and iconic furniture. This look is highly versatile. This style is especially popular in Los Angeles among top Designers due to its local history, simplicity, functionality and use of natural shapes and objects.

Coastal
This style is very popular with our Malibu, Pacific Palisades and other beach areas. Think comfortable! This style uses light, airy fabrics, and usually a palette of whites, blues and aquas. Bonus if you have the view to back it up!

The Hollywood Regency
This is a look that is definitely trendy right now. Think luxuriously! Rich textures, contrasting colors, curved and low lying furniture. Strong patterns and bold colors like white and black are signatures here. Usually more ornate than would be found in modern design.

Transitional
This look blends traditional and modern styles. Some pieces may be classic and rooted in history, with clean and fresh furniture mixed in.

There are so many more home design styles, we’re sure you’ll be able to find yours.
